Valentine’s Day Cards
You won’t believe what gets hotly debated in our house given how completely off-the-wall I am about letter-writing, cards and all good stuff of paper.
My favorite guy, for several years now, has boycotted the purchasing of cards. Let’s take a moment and let that sink in, shall we?
Customize your card
“A rip off! Crazy to spend that kind of money on something you will just throw away! Have you seen the price of a card lately?” I just let him rant.
Cause here’s the thing. There are times, special, special occasions where he will break with his own creed and get me a card.
And that’s why this Valentine’s Day my card to him is going to say ” I love that YOU bought me a card for Valentine’s day.”
Say it your way
I’m going to be ordering a customized Valentine’s Day card for each person in my family (see below for what they will say) from Kaitlyn over at isavirture. Talk about a creative, cool concept when you can customize your own card.
If you have been following along for awhile, you may recognize Kaitlyn’s amazing designs as I have shared her paper designs previously and often she is my go-to for creative, beautiful, funny Canadian paper products.
Sealed with a kiss
Stumped on what to write your sweetie? Here are some ideas I’m tossing around:
- i love you ’cause you are you.
- i love that you still call me ‘mommy.’
- I love you. I’m jealous of your beautiful long lashes, but I still love you.
- i love when you take over the kitchen on the weekends.
- i love that you are the candy-crush master.
- It makes my heart beat faster when you hold my hand.
- You are my prankster
- I love it when you still let me hug you.
Which one do you think I should use? Can’t wait to pair the cards with those pencils…white or hot pink or both?
For a unique way to show some love this Valentine’s Day, consider customizing your own card and then you can seal it with a kiss.
P.S. I’ve been steadily eating those tiny cinnamon hearts for the duration of writing this post. My mouth is burning, yet I do not stop. #FunFactWithBarb
