Cheryl has worked for the United States Postal Service (USPS) for 30 years! This past March she retired and is celebrating with a MAIL BLITZ. She is inviting everyone to send her a piece of snail mail for every day she worked at the Postal Service.
That adds up to 10, 950 postmarked mail pieces. She has received hundred’s of cards, postcards and letters so far, but I think it would be lovely to help her reach her goal. You up for it?
Celebrate with a mail blitz
Even if you don’t work for the postal service in your country, the possibilities of a mail blitz to celebrate a special occasion are endless. You could arrange one for a graduate, a wedding or ask friends to send letters to celebrate a special birthday.
I asked Cheryl why she feels snail mail is still important in our digital world. Here’s what she said:
“In my opinion, snail mail is still very important because it is tangible and personal. Written correspondence touches others in ways that text and email never will. When you sit down and put pen to paper it requires thought and sacrifice of time. I believe it preserves the ability to actually relate to people and it is far more social than relating through a digital screen.”
Mail your well wishes to:

Congratulations Cheryl on your retirement and for your dedication to snail mail AND for the fabulous idea of celebrating an occasion with a mail blitz!
