Do you have a summer memory of candy floss and carousels?
These vintage carousel stamps from Canada Post feature five vintage carousels from different locations across Canada. One of which is at Heritage Park Historical Park in my city of Calgary. Of course I had to go.
I won’t admit whether candy floss was consumed as part of my most memorable sleuthing trip to find the ‘Bowness Carousel’ but I can confirm it was fantastic fun and created a wonderful summer memory.
In case you decide to take a fun summer time road trip to search out your own candy floss and carousels, here are the locations of the vintage carousels depicted on the postage stamps:
Lakeside Park Carousel – Lakeside Park, St. Catharines Ontario
C.W. Parker Carousel No.119 – Burnaby Village Museum, Burnaby, British Columbia
Roseneath Carousel – Roseneath Fairgrounds, Roseneath, Ontario
Le Galopant – La Ronde, Montreal, Quebec
Would you use these stamps or save them?

I love carousels, and I love these stamps, so I bought 2 sets: one to use, and one to treasure!

Mia, my apologies for my delayed response. I have been thinking about trying to visit the other carousel sites that are depicted on these stamps. A carousel quest you might say! ha! perhaps you will too.
