Press Play and Record
Rewind
Did you ever spend hours with friends ‘taping’ yourself on cassette tapes? I did. Perhaps I was ego-centric back in the day, but I loved doing this. I was always in denial that the voice I heard was actually mine. Weird.
Wouldn’t these cool note pads work great as stocking stuffers this Christmas? Think of the questions you would get from your kids! The best part is that you can make your own by following the tutorial here.
And the massive getto players! I know, we are taking a trip down memory lane today, inspired by these paper products.
These ‘job bags’ by magpie studios for Gavin Martin Colournet Limited are just amazing. I love how the image is placed on the folder in such a way that, when carried, looks like the real thing. These would be great for a budding art student or graphic designer.
Hipster vibe
I know you may recognize this (or not), but do you know what it is called? I didn’t either until I did a bit of sleuthing.
The 45 RPM adapter is enjoying a moment in the limelight as a hipster graphic right now. In fact, the securing of vinyl records and record players can be a quest for some people these days. And, riding the wave of nostalgia, some indie bands are now releasing new music on cassettes and vinyl.
This coaster, by my friends over at clawhammer press, is one in a set of very funky retro coasters.
How did you listen to your music way back when? Any 8 track fans out there?
AJ
Oh yeah, 8 track fan right here 🙂 I’m only in my early 30s, but my dad used to play his 8 track all the time when my siblings and I were growing up. Loved those little cartridges and getting the chance to poke one in the big stereo. Great sound…great hits! The good ole’ days 🙂 Thanks for posting and sharing!
