Tis the season. Wedding that is.
Today is the first installment in a series here on the blog on ‘Paper Weddings.’ And to celebrate in high style we are doing a give away. I say ‘we’ because Jenny Muffler from Just Write Studios is teaming up with me to give away something she will craft just for you. More on that later.
Jenny is a master of all things calligraphy and engraving. Ten years ago she left her job in corporate America to do something more creative. Well, creative she is, and she hasn’t looked back.
Handwritten love
Jenny describes herself as “a lover of all things lettered” ( a gal after my own heart) and when asked her thoughts about receiving a handwritten note here is what she says,
“Everyone is so busy these days and seems to be inundated with emails, so when a piece of snail mail arrives, it seems to almost slow the pace of life down for a few moments. When someone takes the time out of their hectic schedule to send a handwritten note, it makes you feel so special. Who doesn’t love feeling special?”
Script and font can go anywhere
As you can see, the styles and font choices that you can choose to get your traditional paper wedding invitations, thank you cards, programs in are endless.
But why not get a bit creative and think about linens, chalkboards, mirrors, or your vows themselves. For example, at the moment Jenny is painting a calligraphic quote on a table runner.
Here are Jenny’s 3 tips for planning your wedding:

Tanya @ Mom's Small Victories
I would use it for my blog to write personal notes to bloggers and authors I admire. Thanks for the chance to win and for continuing to link up with my Small Victories Sunday linkup!
Barb
Tanya, I think you blog’s name would look very stylish on these note cards indeed. So pleased to be connecting with you via your lovely linkup.
Nicoletta
My fiance and I are both going into 4th year of med school and are getting ready for residency interviews. Would love to have thank you cards to send! Always looking for a unique, personal touch!
Barb
Hi there Nicoletta, in my ‘day job’ I work in HR and I couldn’t agree more about finding that little something that is unique and is personal to you the applicant. The fact that you would send a handwritten note vs follow up email will make you stand out. Fantastic idea! I wish you and your finance all the best in securing the job you have always hoped for.
Karren
I would love to use the note cards when I send out swaps. I love calligraphy, I used make flyers for others using my calligraphy pens, out of practice now.
Barb
I bet anyone fortunate enough to be on the receiving end of your swap would love these cards. Who knows, Karren, maybe you will dust off your calligraphy pens now! Lovely to have you stop in for a visit.
Carrie Groneman
I would LOVE to have these with my brand name A Mother’s Shadow on them. What a wonderful gift beautiful handwriting is. Mine is terrible. In fact I’ve been told I write like a serial killer…..I want to know how they know what a serial killer writes like?!
Barb
Oh, my goodness, Carrie…writing like a serial killer…this is too much!! You can guess that now I really am curious about your signature. ha! Your brand would look stunning on these cards no doubt. 🙂
