I can’t even tell you how much I love this little video by Soul Pancake. Of course I loved the concept, but the fact that these people took to heart their task of writing to themselves made my heart warm.
Here are some things I would write in a letter to my 10 year old self:
- you will hit puberty regardless of what all the other kids say
- keep on reading
- your curly hair is here to stay so just accept it
- don’t abandon your love of running
- stay true to your faith; it is worth it
What would you write to your 10 year old self?
P.S. For some family fun this weekend, have the kids write a letter to themselves in the future. Click here for some ideas as to what they can write about.

I am completely of the same mind on this. Just loved the idea.

This is a great idea. I’ve written one for all three of my daughters for when they turn 18, 21 and their wedding day. Nice post.

What a fun idea. There are MANY things I could tell my 10yo self that would keep me out of trouble later.

I know, me too! Thanks for stopping in Pam for a visit. I wish you a splendid weekend.

Oh and if I wrote one to myself it would for sure say ‘keep on writing!’
