This April celebrate National Letter Writing Month
Have you heard the news? April is National Letter Writing Month. What’s this about, you ask? Encouraging, introducing, and inviting people everywhere to write at least one letter in April.
Right out of the gate you should think about participating in Write_On program where the idea is to write 30 letters in 30 days for the month of April.
Attend or host a Letter Writing Social
Every year I send away for their letter writing kit as I love their stationery, but this year is extra cool, because by purchasing a kit it allows the Write_On program to donate a kit to someone in need, including educational and under-resourced community programs.
I even splurged this year and bought those amazing Write_On pins. I will be giving them out to those that come to my April Letter Writing Social. In case you would like to find one to attend in April, here is a list of Letter Writing Socials near you.
Ideas of how to celebrate National Letter Writing Month
- get the kids involved and have them write a postcard to grandparents or teacher
- write one letter this month; use some of the letter writing prompts that Write_On suggests
- have the whole family write a card(s) to the elderly at your local seniors complex
- remember that great gift you received at Christmas? Write a letter to the person that gave it to you and let them how much you love it
- send your cousin a card just because you can
- leave an encouraging note in your local cafe for the next person to find
- send a piece of snail mail to the first person to comment on your latest Instagram post
What other ideas would you add to this list?
A special thank you to the stationery geniuses at Hello Lucky and Egg Press, not only for the use of their photos, but for creating the Write_On program. xoxox

My second annual Letter Writing Social was a hit! About 8 friends joined me – women and men – and I think we wrote at least 50 letters between us – and consumed five bottles of wine LOL. Great conversation and fun. (Watch your mail box for a snail mail to arrive with a special stamp from the event!)

Christina, lovely of you to share my post about National Letter Writing month.Thank you. How is it going for you? It’s around now that I get a little ‘behind’ on things. Also, I’m a week bit jealous of all the green grass you have around you for enjoying the outdoors. Still snow here.
