Vacation at home.
Sometimes you can have the best vacation in your own back yard. Literally. Here is a fantastic list of fun games and activities you can do in your own backyard by Jennifer at Jenny Evolution.
One of the many things I like about summer is that there is time to explore your own city. Time. The true gift of summer.
Make the time and check out 12 of my favorite things to try this summer.
Make any day a good day.
Perhaps on one of those days where you have nothing on the calendar (these are so ripe with spontaneous possibilities that I try to actually leave one day per week for a whole lot of nothing), why not create a snail mail puzzle like Colleen from Lemon Thistle did.
Slow down. Sit down.
Of course, snail mail of any sort makes me happy and these paper products by Canadian artist Deborah Lewis of The Little Talks, are no different. She is a self proclaimed typography and design nerd ( a gal after my own heart) who does beautiful work. Plus, she has a great sale running now until July 31st.
This Peggy’s Cove Jotter evokes fond memories for me. As a kid we went to Nova Scotia almost every summer. I so appreciate the East Coast, especially the slower, more relaxed pace of life.
What is one of your favorite summer time activities?
Please leave a comment and share your idea so I can try it on those days where I am pulling my hair out and when “there is nothing to do” gets repeated fifty times before 9:30 am. Smile.
