Christmas Wishes

The tree isn’t up. Gifts aren’t wrapped. The turkey isn’t bought. And the clock is ticking.

If only I could make a Christmas wish to have it all taken care of.  But, wait, would this be my wish?

Christmas wishes

No,  I don’t think I would.  And I don’t say this lightly, because I would really like someone to wrap the gifts for me.

I have been delivering Christmas cards to the homeless with MakeItMerry this week and my wish would be that I remember.

Wish to remember

Remember that I can give gifts to my kids. Remember that I have a house where I can put up that Christmas tree.

And that I might remember that there will be so much food over the holidays that we will all gain five pounds just looking at it.

Peace and Hope

Another Christmas wish is that no matter the circumstances we find ourselves in this holiday, we might be able to find the hope and the peace that all started so long ago in a manger.
