Dear Mrs. Claus…
I’ve been thinking. Santa gets far too much of the credit. What about Mrs. Claus? Does she even have a first name? I can’t help but wonder if the missus feels a tad bit under appreciated this time of year.
So much talk and anticipation of the jolly man and not a mere mention of the lovely lady anywhere.
And so, after thinking some more, I’m suggesting that we encourage our little ones, instead of sending a ‘wish list’ to the North Pole, to send a note of encouragement to tell Mrs. Claus how much she is appreciated. My hunch is that Mr. C will be very impressed.
Let’s not waste any time. Let’s make her feel important and address it directly to her, at:

- Teachers, get the masses to act quickly and get something in the mail by Dec 4th if you want a classroom response. Use this teacher’s checklist provided by Canada Post to make it happen.
- For the rest of us, get that letter in the mail by Dec 16th to make sure a response is received. Can’t wait to see how the elves respond!?
- Don’t forget to include your return address on the envelope so you get a letter back.
- If you are in the USA check out the slight variations set out by USPS, but don’t forget to address your letter to Mrs. Claus.
Of course, since this is the most magical couple around, any letters to Mrs. Claus will no doubt be shared with Father Christmas himself and names will be jotted down on the ‘nice’ list for sure!
What do you think Mrs. Claus does on Christmas Eve?
P.S. If you are attending a Santa Claus parade in your area, often letter carriers will be collecting letters to Santa there. A perfect opportunity to slip a little something in for Mrs. Claus too.

I’ve never thought about that… Actually, I write to the Three Wise Men. So I guess I need to send the letter to Mrs. Melchior, Caspar and Balthazar. Or maybe to the Three Wise Women?
By the way… have you seen this project? Maybe you feel like sending a letter or, at least, helping us to spread the word. Thanks, anyway!

Hello there Eva, too funny your comment, made me smile. The forgotten Christmas personalities. I’m hoping to feature the ‘Eduardo Munez’ letter project soon, thanks for the tip, looks very cool.
