Fall 2018 Letter Writing Socials
Can you believe we are talking ‘Fall’ already? Summer time always goes by way too fast in my books.
Fall 2018 Letter Writing Socials are the first thing to go on my September calendar. It’s all about priorities, right?!
This is the third year that I’ve been hosting these Letter Writing Socials and I always look forward to meeting up with others who want to write letters. For some, the draw is the typewriter, for others it is the discovery of analog charm in our very digital world.
For a bit more about why I love hosting Letter Writing Socials so much have a listen to this short radio clip.
Dates for Fall Letter Writing Socials
We kick things off on September 13 at 6:30pm at the Good Earth cafe located on 11St. SW here in Calgary. A couple of weeks later, on September 26 at the Good Earth cafe at Glenmore Landing. Click here for full list of dates for Fall Letter Writing Socials.
In addition to these twice a month events, I will also be hosting a couple of LWS’s for one of the homeschooling networks within the local Board of Education here. I’m so excited about this as any opportunity to help kids discover letter writing is one of my favorite things.
If you are interested in starting up your own Letter Writing Social I am more than happy to assist you (available for purchase are DIY Letter Writing kits). In fact, I’m your biggest fan. Please be in touch.
Put pen to paper this Fall and write a letter
Whether you are local or not, I encourage you to try out the whole letter writing thing this Fall.
I always feel that Fall is in fact the perfect time to write letters. The weather is not always conducive to being outside, wearing a sweater while drinking tea and scratching some words down on paper to a friend? Sounds about perfect to me.
Speaking of the friend part of letter writing, I recently hosted a private Letter Writing Social and it was magical. Why not get together your book club, your go-to people and have a glass of wine while writing some letters? Yes?
