fine china, poor grammar
Amy Heitman, a talented illustrator, designer and mama, used to be an art teacher before she designed “fine china, poor grammar” line of greeting cards.
Maybe because of her teaching background it would be easy to predict impeccable grammar, from a past teacher, but no. Instead, she took a radical turn and slapped some poor grammar on some fine china and made these delightful cards. Brilliant!
A combination that delights
A mashup of proper etiquette, all things that fine china strives to be, with some slang, y’all, just makes my smile burst wide open.
Amy shared with me that the inspiration behind this line of cards (she has many more delightful greeting card designs too over on her Etsy shop ) was the beautiful mismatched china patterns in her Grandma’s hutch.
Fresh and fun in the unexpected.
The beautiful colours of the china pattern first catch the eye, but then, this unexpected turn of whimsy once you read the text, just captivates. So very clever and hilarious.
So the next time you are looking for a card that is perfect, but a little different, consider sending one of the creative, beautiful designs from ‘fine china, poor grammar‘ line of cards.
Any suggestions for the next ‘poor grammar’ card?
