Grew up using a typewriter & still have one but it’s the devil to get a ribbon for. Did you know Tom Hanks has a typewriter collection? There’s even a documentary about them called California Typewriter that was just made in 2016.
Hello there Cathy, Yes, Tom Hanks is a huge fan of the typewriter. I have yet to see that movie, but know all about it. I’ve watched the trailer several times (yup, this is what I do while I wait for Canadian netflicks to have it). He also recently wrote a book about his love of typewriters. Have you tried Etsy.com to order a new ribbon? You just need to know make and serial number of your machine. I’ve had great luck there getting new ribbons. What kind of typewriter do you have?
