A stationery subscription service so nice it will be hard to give away
Mother’s Day is fast approaching and I don’t know about you, but I’m always stumped as to what to get my Mom.
With the help of the paper lovers/curators (they are just delightful by the way) over at Nicely Noted you can set your mom up with three letterpress cards a month. Plus the postage stamps to send them included (for USA orders only).
Warning: these cards are so nice you might have a hard time parting with them. So wisely, the Nicely Noted friends do all the heavy lifting and arrange for the cards to be sent straight away to that special Mama. They don’t even pass through your hands…temptation avoided!
Beautiful collections of cards
Of course there is an option just for you too. For twenty dollars you can sign yourself up for three letterpress cards that are of quality and creativity you just won’t see in your grocery store check out line.
I recently received (see my disclosure policy) three lovely cards, from the ‘Toast collection‘ in the mail and was very impressed. Now, let’s be honest, twenty dollars seems like a lot to spend for three cards. I completely agree.
What I find though, is by the time you factor in your time finding just the perfect card (I’ve been known to linger for excessive amounts of time in a card shop – just ask my guy about that) and the card itself, this is pretty much on par for what you would pay. And, in this case, you don’t even have to leave your house.
Write a card to mom each month.
As soon as these cards arrived, my eldest (almost 17) begged for and snagged the Happy Birthday card. The deal is that she has to send it, as she has been known to pin beautiful paper things up in her room as decor.
So as you think of the Mom who has everything, perhaps a gift subscription of two months or more is just the thing.
Or, if you get a subscription for yourself, promise to send one of the three cards to mom each month…if you can keep your promise that is. Smile.
What will you be getting Mom this Mother’s day on May 10th?

Me too! Perhaps we can both let the Birthday fairies know. 🙂
