Star of the runway
If there was a fashion runway for stationery Haute Notes would be a star, flaunting their wares in stunning colours and textures. If you haven’t yet heard of them, it is my pleasure to introduce them to you today.
Lorie and Bob Gray are the dynamic duo behind this paper shop based in Pitt Meadows, BC, Canada. Known for their personalized stationery I met Lori, guess where? On twitter! Yes, consider this an example of the real time networking and relationships that can be forged on social media.
“An old fashioned tweet from Barb”
Being the twitter addict that I am (@ritewhileucan.com) you can only imagine how much I loved this card by Haute Notes. Such a clever mashup of both the analog and digital worlds. Seriously creative.
There are several unique designs that you can choose from, included these examples from the signature cards collection. Lori generously sent me my very own personalized cards the other day. The key word here is ‘personalized.’ You get to choose what name or text goes on your cards.
“Some messages deserve ‘special delivery'”
When I first explored Haute Notes site, I quickly got a sense of the passion behind the shop, “…despite the current obsession with electronic communication, we believe that some messages still deserve ‘special delivery’ – and for these we’ll take a mailbox over an inbox any day!”
Yup, my kind of people.
As beautiful as the photos of all the stationery options (bookmarks, wine tags, enclosure cards) are on the site, the read deal is 10x better. The quality of the paper, the colours, the designs, even the packaging itself blew me out of the water. Beautiful, that’s what.
In fact, I’m going to be placing an order for a friend who is moving away this summer. I just have to wait for her new address.
Thank you to Bob and Lori for their crazy, over the top, generosity.
