If not now, when?
I think that if there ever is a time of year when people think about writing a letter or sending a card it is during the Christmas season.
And with this end in mind I have compiled a bit of a round-up of some of my favorite on-line card sites.
You have been asking me about what sites to use for creating your Christmas cards on-line and just this week a friend of mine posted on her Face Book this very topic. The comments were so helpful I thought that others might be interested too.
So, while not an exhaustive list, I have combined these suggestions with my own in hopes that you might use it as a ‘go to’ resource.
Although I have my favorites, I have not personally tried all the sites listed. But all those that I have included have either been recommended to me or I have tried myself. Here is a direct link to create your Christmas cards with Tiny Prints.
Things to consider:
1) Decide if you want to design your card using design templates provided or if you want to just dump a photo in and be done.
2) If you choose ‘design my own’ most sites allow you to set up your own account. You want this so you can start your card but not need to finish it in one sitting.
3) A nice feature to use is ‘my favorites’ as you are looking through the hundreds of designs. You will loose track and eyes begin to gloss over.Time for a break.
Deals to be had.
4)Always wait for a sale. As I mentioned in Part I of this Holiday Post series, if you start early enough (before the end of November for sure) you can do this and it is highly worth it. Some times it might be free shipping or a significant percentage off.
5)Some sites will send you an email once they see you have a project underway and offer you a discount if you finish your project by a certain date.
6)If your card arrives and it is incorrect (this has happened to me) don’t hesitate to ask for not only free reprints, but perhaps a photo in addition. May or may not happen, but always worth asking.
Note: Card prices listed below are not necessarily for the cards I have shown on this page. Please, please use my site as a launching pad for your own research into pricing as I don’t guarantee any of the prices or promos (they change frequently). I have tried my best to give you a summary of information I found but no doubt I may have missed something.
And, of course, after all your hard work there comes the anticipated arrival of your cards! All ready to send off to family and friends.
So, what card company do you use?

What a great list!!
I love mail. I love cards. I love pictures. And I LOVE paper!
My husband doesn’t get my love of paper and cards especially since I’m a self-proclaimed Eco-Nerd but I just love a handwritten note and sending cards for everything under-the-sun.
This summer I saw a box of beautiful Christmas cards at Goodwill for .49 cents!! I had to get them– in JUNE.
I send photo cards to close family and everyone else gets regular {buts still beautiful} cards, because the thought of people throwing my kids away makes me sad…
XOXO
Thanks for linking up!

Hey there, Lovely of you to stop in and share a comment. I love that you bought cards in June (how could you not at that price)! And, a ‘high-five’ to not throwing out the kids pics. I completely agree. Happy Christmas card writing.
