I received my first Christmas card of the season this week! Maybe you did too. Did you wonder what to do with it after you opened it?
Here are six ideas (plus a bonus idea at the end) for you to consider:
Card Tree by popsugar.com
Quirky Wire Card Holder by Kim over at madeinaday.com
If you have a glass top table this is ingenious! By Canadian House and Home.
Mounted on the wall Card Tree by Corey from TinySidekick.com
Think of all the variations you could do with ribbon or simple twine on the back of a chair. This by Better Homes and Garden.
Simple, yet beautiful. Cards strung across a window on jute string with clothes pins by splendidwillow.com. I bet a sprig of greenery in between cards would look stunning.
What about you? How do you showcase the Christmas cards you receive?
P.S For a peek at a really cute display option the kids will love – using a tomato cage – click here.

I love the glass table idea! I have flat molding around our kitchen entrance, and I usually tape them to both sides of that so that we can enjoy them throughout the season!
Barb
Hi there Michelle, I loved that glass table top idea too. Now, I just need a glass top table! 🙂 I bet your doorway looks beautiful. Thanks for stopping in.
Corey @ Tinysidekick
These are some great ideas! Thanks for including my DIY Card Holder.
Barb
It was my pleasure to include your very cool card holder Corey! How could I not? 🙂 So glad you stopped in for a visit.

Deonna Wade
It’s Deonna from the Child at Heart blog! Thank you so much for linking up at the Merriest Blog Hop! I can’t wait to see all of your holiday ideas this month! This is a great list. I love the hangers! That’s my fav I’ve seen this year.
Barb
Hi Deonna, Thank you for popping on over and saying ‘hello.’ I thought that hanger idea was so clever too. I also loved the string with sprigs of greenery with clothes pins. So many good ideas out there. I look forward to linking up again.
Jennifer

Barb
Hi Jennifer, So glad you liked the ideas of how to display your Christmas cards. Have you received many yet? Mine are just trickling in now. Love this. Thank you for stopping in and leaving me a comment. Hope to see you again some time.
Mo at Mocadeaux
I usually just toss the cards in a bowl but now I’m inspired to try something new. I love the willow branches in a vase idea! So beautiful!!
Barb
Why hello there Mo, lovely to see you. I just loved those branches too. So simple yet so beautiful. Hope you follow through on that inspiration. 🙂 Talk soon. xoxo
Dana
Visiting back from LOBS, Barb. These are great ideas – I like the string one – simple and easy! I’ve only received a few cards so far this year – I think people are sending them later because Thanksgiving was so late.
Barb
I think simple and easy is most beautiful on so many levels! Thanks for stopping in Dana. Enjoy all your cards.
Kim~madeinaday
Thanks so much for featuring my Hanger Card Holder! I’m glad yo liked it!

Barb
My pleasure Kim, so creative!
Vanessa
Love them all! Will probably do the last one with string across my big bay window!
Barb
Hi Vanessa, Yes, I think that string is my fav too. I was searching hard for an e-image I had seen in November 2013 Canadian House and Home that had basically the same idea, but in between the clothes pins they pegged a sprig of cedar. It was to die for! Enjoy those cards coming in.
Priyam
Those are some nice collection of displaying the Christmas cards. I remember growing up, my mom used to hang the Christmas cards we received in the Christmas tree. In the recent past, I have not displayed the cards I have received. Looking at your post it gives me ideas to start displaying the cards.
Also thanks for visiting me earlier today.

Hello there Priyam, So love it that we exchanged visits today! Cards in a Christmas tree – that would be cool. My mom strung them over the top of doorways. Enjoy each and every card as they trickle in.
Barb
Thank you for the feature! Hope it gives people some fresh ideas.
