Is your mailbox empty?
I feel your pain. When the mailbox is empty it’s the pits. It’s even worse when there are only bills to be found. Sigh.
But, how does one get mail? Where to start?
No fear. I’ve got your back. Here are three things to do if you want to see your mailbox full of happy mail.
- You need to write someone. Don’t be waiting for someone to write you. Seize the day (and the pen) and make it happen. For starters you could participate in the #BookLoverPostcardSwap that is going on right now. Sign-ups close tonight, October 7, at 12:00pm EST.
- How about a pen-pal? I know, you’re thinking that these don’t exist anymore, but in fact in some delightful corners of the world they do. Have a look-see at these several snail mail exchanges and find one that suits you best.
- Mail yourself a card. No, I’m serious. Why not? We could all use more positive self-talk and why not have a little fun with it. Go crazy with the fist pumps, the high-fives, or try writing something like, “On the day you receive this card you are entitled to an afternoon all to yourself, ’cause we both know you deserve it.”
Any suggestions for a fourth tip or idea?
Good grief, Charlie Brown, the mail is on it’s way.
