Flowers from plantable paper
Easter is quickly approaching and with it, the chirping of birds and buds peeking out on tree branches. Hopefully the last of the snow banks are melting where you live so that you can boldly put away the mitts and winter coats.
I don’t know about you, but Spring time always makes me feel like anything is possible. Everything, from maple trees to tulip bulbs, are waking up. Things start growing again. Perhaps that’s why these delightful plantable papers by Recycled Ideas caught my eye.
From recycled paper comes beauty
Holly and Alasdair are the wife-husband duo who hand craft the recycled seed paper using office paper, school materials and old envelopes etc. You name it, they use it. The seeds that are in the paper are chosen with care and thought for your garden.
These paper seed lambs would be such fun at any baby shower or baptism. How cool for that little one, as they grow up, to see a beautiful patch of flowers that were planted when they were born.
How to make your own
Not that you need a reason to have a party, but I so want to have one just so I can use these confetti butterflies! Aren’t they grand? I can see them flung high in the air at a sweet sixteen party, an end of summer camp celebration, at Easter brunch and of course at weddings.
If you feel inspired by these paper creations, try making your own and throwing a Spring party afterwards.
What is your favorite thing about Spring?

These are absolutely adorable! They would be great gifts for a school birthday party too. I love the shapes, the butterflies are gorgeous. I would be tempted to go outside and throw them in my flowerbeds on the next rainy day! What am I looking forward to for spring? The garden, the flowers, being outside again. Perhaps a nice walk in the neighborhood each day. Blue skies…ah…spring!
