Update on The Letter Exchange project.
Last year around this time, I invited you to join me, and participate in the The Letter Exchange project. One year later, I’m excited to share an update on The Letter Exchange project. The many submissions have been curated and are now available in a beautiful book !
The whole idea behind this project was to incite us to revisit the handwritten form of communicating with others. It was to encourage us to step back from all things digital and write something down with a pen; perhaps a letter or a drawing done by hand.
“Text less, write more.”
The voice behind this project is Gabrielle Rizzo. I asked her what the response to her project has been and this is what she said,
“the best part about running this project was being able to connect with individuals who still value the handwritten word. Starting off, I had no idea what kind of reception the project would receive and slowly I realized that there was a community out there for snail mail lovers… I also think that there’s movement towards this “text less, write more” mentality.”
Purchase the book before the end of April at a discount.
You can see a visual sampling of some of the submissions in the digital gallery (if you look hard enough, you may even see what I submitted). People from around the globe including the UK, Singapore, Canada, Italy, USA and more, sent in handwritten treasures.
Purchase before the end of April and take advantage of a discount price directly from The Letter Exchange , or at full price via Amazon.
