Letter Writing Social — community over a glass of wine and a typewriter
I’ve got a line on a new typewriter. Just in time for the next Letter Writing Social on March 10th.
This Sunday afternoon I will be headed out to have a look-see and try it out. It has got this fabulous case that is green inside and the keys themselves are a beautiful green. I’m swooning. Perhaps I can call it an early Birthday present (keep in mind, my Birthday is no where close to February)?
If all goes well, you can check out my new typewriter in a couple of weeks at Good Earth Café in Aspen Landing here in Calgary.
If you are local, you can drop by the café anytime before March 10th and reserve your spot for just $8. Come and join me for some community over typewriters and a glass of wine.
Join us from afar
For those of you far, far away, perhaps you can mark the date on your calendar and write a letter wherever you.
Sometimes the challenging thing about writing cards and letters is finding the time to do it. Life is busy and it can be crazy difficult to carve out time to actually sit down and put pen to paper.
Knowing that a group of us are doing the same thing at the exact same time might provide you with some sense of virtual community and you may be more inclined to do it.
What do you think? Is it a date?

Hi Barb, this is great! I wish I was closer to Vancouver but I will be there in spirit. Have a wonderful evening

Hi there Maria,
Sure do wish you lived closer and were able to come Maria. Are you familiar with “The Regional Assembly of Text?” They are in Vancouver and hold a similar event on the first Thursday of every month. I think you would love it!
