I kind of sort of MISS YOU
I want to introduce you to a very talented Canadian who, among other creative endeavors, creates a line of stationery and cards that I’m completely smitten with.
Kaitlyn Webb Patience hails from Ontario and her line of stationery can be found at The Art of Home in Cambridge, ON and The Papery in Victoria, BC and from her studio isavirtue.
Kaitlyn has had a life long love of snail mail. She had a childhood friend named Samantha who moved away in Grade 3. The girls corresponded with each other, sending trinkets, candy and my favorite, recorded cassette tapes (remember those), in decorated envelopes.
Fast forward 20 years and Kaitlyn and Samantha remain true friends.
Send some happy mail
There are so many things I love about this line of cards and paper products, but what caught my eye at first glance was this very cool mash-up of modern lingo (all the texting acronyms) with the old-school world of paper.
Aside from being clever and creative, I love when I see the combining of both worlds so that it appeals to a much wider, younger, audience. It can be cool to send happy mail.

I love, love these WBS stickers! Tell me they wouldn’t be great to slap on the back of all outgoing mail? Especially if you had a pen pal, right Kaitlyn?
So, what texting acronym do you use all the time? Perhaps it will serve as inspiration for a new card…
P.S. Don’t you just love Kaitlyn’s studio name given her last name is Patience? Yeah, it took me a minute to notice it too, but I’m sure you are much faster than I.
Alex
Love these cards, thanks for sharing!

me too, me too Alex! I hope you took advantage of the % discount Kaitlyn shared with my readers. I haven’t done my shopping yet, but I will. So clever and creative she is.
