Confession. I am terrible at keeping my fridge clean. In fact, I would rather close the door quick and pretend all is well, than deal with the food past its expiry date. Anyone relate?
It is never too late to say thank you.
Thank goodness there is no expiry date on gratitude. It is never too late to say thank you. Never too late to show someone how grateful we are for their kindness; even if it was last year.
Misplaced letter writing etiquette
And yet, we (or maybe just me) live like there is an expiry date to gratitude. If too much time has past I tend to feel it is too late to send that card of thanks.
Perhaps it is because I will feel silly for not sending within a two week arbitrary time frame. Or maybe I will appear disorganized? Either way I need to get over it. Misplaced letter writing etiquette I say.
Send those ‘past-due’ notes of gratitude
Saying thank you never gets old. Perhaps sending ‘past-due’ notes of gratitude will spark others to do the same.
Do you send out thank you cards right away or do you have every good intention?

Thanks Barb – I can so relate to this! ie. feeling like I missed the boat and now its too late – I so appreciate this reminder and encouragement. Interestingly, I just picked up 2X 10 packs of cute Thank you Cards at Good Will last week! I’ll have to put them to good use.

I’ve been hard on myself about this topic too,Joan. Now I’m taking a different approach, no pressure as truly gratitude never expires. Glad I’m not alone. p.s. love your sourcing for the cards, I frequent thrift stores often for paper supplies.
