I thought I would share some of my favorite Mother’s Day cards today. As the favorite child of three (did I just say that out loud?), I had a tendency to do things my own way. Still the case as I tend to pick cards that are a little off the beaten path. Hope you enjoy.
This check list made me laugh out loud! Both from the perspective of my own shenanigans as a kid and now as a mom, with the crazy stuff my own kids do. So hilarious because it’s true.
A nod to the techno savvy Mom this Mother’s Day. This design is called “Happy Smothers day.” I’ll leave it to you to determine if it applies or not.
I was so tempted to buy this card, twice, so that both my teenage girls could give it to me. It is so perfect given this stage in my mothering experience. So perfect.
Can’t say how much I love this one. It’s just spot on.
Which one is your favorite?
P.S. I looked for a belated Mother’s Day card, just cause I think that could come in handy. All that to say, is that if you haven’t got a card in the mail yet for Mom, no worries, just send it whenever. That’s the great thing about Mom’s, they love you no matter what.

I love the check list card Barb! Reminds me of some similar ones you and I found in Vancouver! As a Mom I am forever pausing to consider the incredible grace and sense of humour my mom exhibited as a parent – patiently walking me through those awkward, amazing and sometimes very scary growing up years. My mom loved receiving cards, she kept them all in special envelopes and read them over and over in her later years letting them truth of their messages lift her spirits and draw us closer when we couldn’t be right by her side. Every Mother’s Day, for many years, I would receive a beautiful card in the mail from my mom reminding me that she thought I was doing a terrific job of being a mom – those cards, with her meticulous handwriting and emcouraging messages are stored in special envelopes so I can treasure them, reread them and remember what an incredible mom I had.

Jackie, my friend, this story about your darling, sweet Mom brought tears to my eyes. What a wonderful idea she had to send you cards on mothers day to encourage you as a Mom. That sounds just like the encourager she was. No doubt her precious handwriting on those cards are some of your most prized posessions. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful story. And, Happy Mother’s Day to you.

Really like the cards you posted! I got a little something in the mail to my Mom last week. A little bag, with a little card, and a little card that I pasted a felt flower on and told her my 1st choice would have been real flowers…he he…. What fun to celebrate Mom, or a ‘like Mom’….I try to make it like 3/4 of the year that I let her know how special she is 🙂 Wow…and God! He’s behind it all 🙂
Thanks for the reminder to get a card in the mail!
