So, I live in stampede country. This is a fact. I don’t own cowboy boots. This too is a fact. And I am good with that. Also factual.
Don’t get me wrong. I have an appreciation for all things cowboy. The lifestyle, the mountains, the horses, the beautiful back country and so much more. I think that cowboy boots look great…from a far! I have to admit I do draw the line at plaid shirts, again maybe on someone else, but this gal just can’t go there. I just can’t seem to pull it off.
However, the above rendition of the cowboy boot by Emma Greenwood is something else entirely. Outstanding. I just love it! And, it would look great framed and on my wall—not my feet. For some other absolutely mind blowing ideas to do with paint chips you need to click here (if you have kids you will thank me on the next rainy day with no option for sweeping them outdoors).
Doesn’t this wrapping paper make you want to go and wrap yourself a gift? I just love the the images, the colour, everything about it. I think even grown up cowboys would love to have their next birthday gift wrapped up in this paper. Speaking of cowboy birthdays, there are tons of ideas via Pinterest *for you to explore for your little cowpoke.
You will be interested to know that this gal is going to the rodeo next weekend! We have the tickets and everything. Now, the tickets themselves aren’t nearly as quaint as this card above. Right away it reminded me of a old fashioned fair kind of ticket. Whether or not it will be my favorite event time will tell. If you want to know what I am wearing (probably not) you can click here and see 2 of the items that this gal will be wearing about town.
So, whether in stampede country or not, I trust you will find the ticket to a relaxing time with friends and family this week!
* So friends, awhile back I mentioned that I had not yet ventured into the zone of Pinterest. For fear of not re-surfacing. Well, the time as come, to take the plunge. You can find me pinterest,com/ritewhileucan

have fun at the rodeo. We are NOT in stampede country but I just bought all 3 of my kids cowboys boot because they recently started riding horses. They love them. If not for summer I think they would where them every day.

Thanks for sharing the story of your three young cowboys Kimberly. I bought some for my two nieces at Christmas time, they too don’t live in stampede country, and they wore them everywhere. It was all my sister could do to convince them not to wear them outside in the snow! Hope the horse riding continues to inspire. Enjoy.

Love your cowboy art picks! Although I don’t live anywhere near stampede country, I have owned a beloved pair or 2 of cowboy boots. But these days, I think I’ll stick to cowboy boot art!

Good Morning Dani, So pleased to stopped by to hear my tales of stampede country. It sounds like you had a true fondness for your cowboy boots once upon the day. Perhaps I will buy some yet! In the mean time we can both enjoy the art versions! Hope to see you soon.
