Get your paper on the cheap
Recently I shared my adventure thrifting with you. You may remember that among my treasures, I found a bag full of paper.
It was one of those bags where you aren’t really sure what all is inside. Did I mention I only paid $2.00 for the lot? Smile.
Spring project
Well, this week I finally got around to looking at my purchase more closely. I hit the jackpot! All the patterned paper shown here, along with the card stock that the Spring quotes are on, were all in the bag.
Smell of paper
Aren’t these envelopes grand? My favorite feature is how they fold up. I paid only 50 cents for each one.
Keep reading to see some of my tips on how to find inexpensive yet wonderful paper.
Have I told you I used to work in a card store? Yes, during my university years I burned the midnight oil in a little card shop. I’m sure you can imagine my delight. It was from this experience that I learned a tip about getting free envelopes.
Tips on finding inexpensive paper
1. Most cards stores have excess envelopes that they will gladly get rid of. All you have to do is ask.
2. Thrifting or garage sales can turn up amazing paper finds.
3. Don’t forget the dollar store. You might be surprised to see what I picked up at my local dollar store not long ago.
4. Whenever you visit a store that specializes in stationery, or a printing shop, more often than not, you will find discards or odds and ends available for purchase. This is how I found the envelopes. But, be warned, they may not have several of the same design or colour, but the quality is next to none.
I hope you liked the Springtime quotes in the post today. What is your favorite sign of spring?

Hi Christy, yes, such a great reminder to have perspective. It’s true, when I lived for a bit in a warm climate all year round Spring seemed uneventful. Lovely to see you today.
