Recipe cards
What are you making for dinner tonight? Please tell me, as I’m fresh out of ideas….but that’s another conversation.
For the give-away today, I’m partnering with the talented folks at giddy paperie to bring you these paper lovelies related to cooking and kitchen. Even if you have most of your recipes on-line, they make a fantastic addition to a gift of cookies or muffins; recipe card complete with recipe of course.
Handwritten recipes are full of memories
I especially love the recipes that people have given me over the years, the ones they scribbled on the back of an envelope or on a page torn off a notepad.
The paper is yellowing, corners jagged, and grease stains abound on the recipes that belonged to my Grammie. I cherish these recipes probably more for the fact that they are in her handwriting, than for the actual recipe itself. It is like, through her scrawling cursive, a small piece of her is with me in the kitchen as I strive (in vain) to duplicate her lemon loaf.
Ready. Set. Dough.
This great combo set of ten recipe cards, a “Thinkpad” (love this) and the most delightful card ever are sure to motivate even the most hesitant cook.
To enter to win this generous gift set by giddy paperie all you have to do is share, by leaving a comment here on the blog, what item, from their Kitchen Sink collection will inspire your next meal.
One winner will be randomly chosen from those who leave a blog comment. You have until March 21st 11:00 pm MST to enter. One entry per person. Have fun!

I absolutely love to bake (and eat) and so the bake and frost card with the green envelopes was inspiring during this week of St. Patricks Day as we like to eat green food, so cookies with green frosting would be just the thing this week. And the green envelope that goes with the bake and frost card ties in perfectly with this theme!
Barb
I would have loved to try some of your cookies with green frosting Joan. I can just imagine how yummy they were.

The Ready Set Dough cards are super cute. All of the items are adorable though and I also really like the Bake Me A Cake recipe cards. I was planning to make beef stroganoff for dinner tonight, but I didn’t get to the grocery store in time to put everything in the slow cooker. Tonight’s dinner will be something simple like a grilled ham and cheese sandwich. Ugh!
Barb
I haven’t had supper tonight, so both of your supper ideas are making me hungry! Maybe ‘breakfast for supper’ will win in my house.

I like the ‘Bake me a cake’ tea towel – I love baking cakes!!
Barb
Yummmmy, can you send me one?! ha. bake away my friend, bake away.
Rhonda
I’m with Sydney on the Ready, Set, Dough! I love those cards. And, like you Barb, there is nothing like handwritten recipes. I’m planning to send each of my children out the door someday with handwritten copies of their favourites…..better get started soon.
Nita
Well, that’s fun! And what I am cooking for dinner is chicken in curry and coconut milk with sliced mushrooms, red pepper and peas. Over rice. Yum!

Love the baker’s dozen notepad. Thanks for the giveaway!
Maria
I would love the hearts a flutter tea towel. It reminds me of the one my grandmother used to have. She taught me how to cook, and seeing that tea towel brings back a lot of memories. Thank you for sharing!
Barb
Those tea towels are so beautiful Maria, I agree. Sounds like we both have fond memories of our Grandmothers in the kitchen.
Sydney
Ready Set Dough Card for sure! 🙂
Barb
Love, love, that clever play on words too Sydney. And that rolling pin, so darling.

Oh my – so many cute things! I liked Bake Me a Cake tea towel! Thanks for the opportunity to win!
Barb
“Patty cake, patty cake, Bake me a cake.” I don’t know why, Teresa, but that’s what comes to my mind when I see that adorable tea towel. Thanks so much for stopping in and entering in the giveaway today.
Eva
I love more cooking than baking . But anyway, the designs are very inspiring… I really love the tea towels. I’m unable to choose just one of them, sorry. 😀
Barb
I should do more cooking than baking Eva, easier on the waistline! ha. Thanks for sharing the give away goodness on twitter. I’m always grateful.
