He doesn’t ‘do’ cards
Have I told you that my husband doesn’t do cards? What I mean by this is he is philosophically opposed to cards. I know, horror of horrors!
It wasn’t always this way. In the beginning he sent me cards and he even wrote me letters when we were dating and living in different provinces. So sweet.

He made an announcement
But over the years, he watched how the prices of cards continued to creep up to ridiculous amounts of money. Then, one day, he made the announcement. No longer would he be buying any more cards.

And he has stuck to his boycott
Sort of a boycott I think. Not sure how effective, but I do admire his gumption. But, surely, couldn’t he have picked the fast food industry to boycott? Or why not the crazy prices of sporting events?

He loves me
But, truth be told, I don’t have a thing to complain about. After all, he took me to Italy this summer in celebration of our 20 years of marriage. Cards or no cards I love him to bits!
