Stamps of unusual mailboxes
Often I find myself on rural roads and I make a point of noticing the mailboxes. I’ve even been known to stop abruptly (much to the annoyance of all in the car with me) and snap some pics of mailboxes.
When I came across these stamps of mailboxes I was delighted. They are perfect. They were issued in April of 2000 when the price of a stamp in Canada was 46 cents.
The fun and slightly outlandish mailboxes on the stamps are true to form in the sense that I’ve actually seen a tractor mailbox in real life, so I don’t doubt the others exist.

Stamps will be at next Letter Writing Social
I’m working on a collection of photos of urban mailboxes found on my many walks within Calgary. Stay tuned for that some time in the future. In the meantime, you may enjoy some mailboxes in Italy that I saw a couple of years ago.

I LOVE mailboxes especially if they’re all in a row. Great stamps! Lucky folks who get to use them at the Social. Enjoy summer. We’re finally getting some warm days in Colorado after a wet and cold (snowy) Spring. I’m not complaining about the cold. 70F is my favorite temperature!
