The Postcard Writer
I thought I would share some music by the talented Brandon Wolfe Scott for your weekend listening pleasure. The Postcard Writer might just inspire you to send a postcard from your hometown to someone who you haven’t seen in awhile.
Calling Vancouver, British Columbia, home, Brandon is a traveler and is often on the road sharing his amazing music. When I asked him how he came to write a song about postcards, he shared that when he is crisscrossing the globe he makes it his mission to track down a vintage postcard from each city he has played in while on tour.
A postcard captures a moment in time
This particular song came about while on an American tour where he did his very best to send his girlfriend a postcard from every American State he passed through. Apparently his postcard sleuthing was a success, because upon his return, he found that his girlfriend had dedicated a wall in her apartment to all the postcards!
But why not a text or an email, I wondered. Brandon shared his thoughts with me; “I find tangible mail is a lost source of communication these days, and its refreshing to jot down spur of the moment thoughts and drop it in a post box.”
I love the idea of a complete wall being dedicated to postcards (not to mention a song). Here are more creative options on what to do with your postcards. Enjoy.
So who will you send a postcard to this weekend?

Indeed, romance still lives. I can’t tell you how often I’ve listened to this tune. I love it each time. Hope you had a great Saturday.
