Don’t panic, you still have time!
Ok, I just got off the phone with my sister. It was mid conversation when she mentioned she needed to get her boys to finish their Valentine’s cards. Immediately I have this gut panic moment. Finish? I haven’t even started!
And so, because it is snowy outside and I don’t feel like leaving the house, I rummage through a box of old Valentine’s Day stuff and find cards from over the years. Yes!
Recycle old cards to make Valentine’s
Thank goodness for grandparents (on so many different levels) who send their grand-kiddies Valentine’s cards. I grabbed the pile and after drawing a template heart on cardboard from a cereal box, I started cutting. Think Edward ScissorHands, but with less hair!
5 free Valentine printables
Now, I have to tell you, that in all reality these homemade Valentines will have some tough competition against some 3D hockey cards I bought last year (forgot about and found today too). But, no worries, I’ll peddle my wares to the girls who I might be able to bribe into using. Ha!
If you find yourself having one of those panic moments here are some free printables I love:
1. Kiss Me You Fool printable postcards by Crafted By Lindy
2. Animal Huggers by Lia Griffith
3.Bubble Gum Valentines over at Live Laugh Rowe
4. And for the grown ups, some fun slightly unconventional printables (hilarious, I might add), at Avoiding Atrophy
5. Date night conversation topics from Lemon Thistle are sure to make your night.
Whether young or old, do you send Valentine’s?

I loved sending Valentines when I was younger, and just recently started sending them again. I love your idea of recycling old cards. I will keep that in mind for next year!

Hello there, and thanks for sharing your new found practice of sending Valentines. Never too old to do this! I hope I remember that. Always. Hope you have a lovely V-day.

We don’t celebrate Saint Velentine here, but thanks for the links anyway. They will be useful for sending love… 😀
