“Chicken scratch or not…we need to write.”
I thought I would share this for when you have a few moments, holed away from the busyness of weekend activities, to enjoy.
Jake Weidmann, a Master Penman, shares his thoughts on why penmanship matters in our digital age. Did I mention he makes his own pens? Wow.
What are you up to this weekend?

This is so, so awesome! I think I met this young man at the recent, 2nd Annual Denver Pen Show. I had no idea how interesting and very talented and determined he is. What a gift he is. Such a pleasure to listen to (kind of cute, too) and so, so talented. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I’ve passed it along/share it with many people.

What???!!! I’m green with envy. What a lucky duck you are! I loved what he had to say too and his charm and style he had while saying it. 🙂

That sure was interesting! I love to write (even though it’s a lot slower that typing) and I learned that we get a deeper understanding BY writing. I DO get thing better and closer to my heart and remembrance from writing, not typing 🙂
Use a pen/handwriting to create 🙂 Handwriting records our emotion and our personality…how fascinating…I had not thought of that!
I don’t do calligraphy, but I certainly WILL NOT stop writing…..I love the personal note to people!!!!
Thanks Barb!

Hey there Sydney, Wasn’t this clip so amazing? Worth the 6 minutes for sure. I loved the encouragement to write no matter how messy our handwriting…this I can relate to. 🙂
Megan
Thanks for sharing. I had seen a different video that was circulating about him, but not this one yet. I like the thought about a pen being passed from one generation to another, and that writing records our emotions.

Hello there Megan, I liked the thought that writing records our emotions too, I hadn’t really thought of it from that perspective before. Very cool. Thanks for stopping in for a chat.
