Beautiful paper
Sometimes I need some inspiration.
This question, “What will you make today?” is one that the folks at Mohawk Paper ask of themselves and anyone who is listening. For a paper wonk like myself it doesn’t get much better than being inspired by the texture, the feel, and the color of paper.
Source of new ideas
Not only does it surprise and delight, but it makes me think.
And this can lead to new ideas.
This above picture of an ‘eye’ actually is two pages together in the Maker Quarterly publication that splits apart as you read it. I’m not sure what I will do with these papers yet; but surely a second life as an envelope, wrapping paper, a book cover, or simply framed would all work.
What do you see?
These geometric shapes and patterns make me think of the mountains.
You might see ice cream cones, game pieces, pyramids, bow ties, pasta etc. The fact that each one of us could see something entirely different is what I find inspiring.
What is your source of inspiration? Did you make anything today? Does supper count? Ha!
Sydney Weaver
Love the picture…so bright and cheering and ‘brings you in.’ I immediately thought it was Egypt, as I rode a camel there…ha ha

Isn’t that paper grand, Sydney? I couldn’t get over the colours too. You rode a camel? Wow, now I bet there’s a story there. Thanks for stopping in for a visit.
