I’m feeling it right now. The pressure. Tick-tock, goes the Christmas clock.
I thought I would try to save us all some time and share some easy options to wrapping all the gifts.
Craft paper is always my go-to wrapping option. You can find it in some dollar stores and at any office supply store. It is plain, but that is the beauty of it. You can do absolutely anything to it as in the above example; ribbon and greenery and you are set to go.
Although I love this red and blue paper combo, with the ‘felt belt’ above, I just don’t have time for it. A simpler version would be to forgo that belt and just run the twine a couple times in opposite directions. This, I could do.
I have done white paper wrap before and, in my experience, it isn’t that easy to find (at a reasonable price) so I love these white boxes as alternatives. Less work as no need to fiddle with corners and tape. And, don’t even get me started on just how clever these paint chip tags are!
If someone had told me they were going to use black wrapping paper at Christmas I would not have thought it was a good idea. But, seeing it here with the chalk pen writing, is a whole other thing. I’m sold! (Do check out the above link where Bonnie will share where to get the black paper and what type of pen works best)
Last year I used old maps and buttons for wrapping. Fun and Easy. This year I’m using solid red wrapping paper along with solid blue (similar colour to the paper shown in the ‘felt belt’ option ) all found at IKEA and some gift tags made from recycled Christmas cards. Why no photo? Haven’t started yet….thus, the pressure.
Using newsprint, especially the comics section, is brilliant. Not only is it recycling, but colourful, and you get to read it after.
How do you wrap your gifts? Which idea is your favorite?

I love the paint chip idea. Last week I hosted my first gift-wrapping party (recapping on GraceGritsGarden tomorrow)! It was a fun and creative way to wrap gifts with friends. I’m all about the gift-wrap:)
Barb
I loved those paint chip gift tags too Talya! And would be great at any time of year. I will definitely hop over and visit to learn more about your gift-wrapping party. Sounds so fun! So nice to meet a friend who is also all about the wrap. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Me too, Ashley, me too. Next year’s look, I think. Scribble, scribble and it’s done. Merry Christmas to you!
Maritza
Love these! Not sure which one is my fave… Maybe the Christmas Tree slider?
Barb
Hello there Maritza, So glad you liked these creative wrapping options. It is so hard to pick a favorite, isn’t it? All so good, but that Christmas tree slider is very cool indeed. Happy wrapping to you!

These are beautiful Barb. I love the black with the chalk pen. I’ve used white paper from the big roll for crafts. You can buy them at the dollar store or a craft supply store. Can’t say I always have a nice assortment of grosgrain on hand though. Love the maps too!
I hope you have some wonderful surprises under your tree.
Merry Christmas,
Dominique

Thanks Dominique for sharing your tips on where to buy the white paper (love the idea of a roll version). I really did like that option as it is so versatile. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. Now, if the unwrapping part just lasted a little longer!! P.S. reminds me of cooking supper, compared with the time it takes to eat it. 🙂
