Good things come in packages
One of my favorite things about gift giving in general is the wrapping of the gifts. Christmas is crazy fun for this.
Now, I realize that not everyone enjoys wrapping gifts. I am hoping that what you find here today will give you some easy ideas that you can adapt and make your own and use this Christmas.
I love the simplicity of these kraft paper packages above. The stitching is completely cool, but an easier and quicker option is to just use washi tape or a glue stick. For more unique wrapping ideas hop on over here.
Upcycled wrap
I tried one of the ideas this year myself with old maps and misplaced buttons. I had some of the maps kicking around the house, but found some more at a used book store. I am a bit of twine addict, but you could so easily use up the last ball of yarn, ribbon, kitchen string or, if the gift was the right size, coloured elastics would delight the kids.
Aren’t these bags, by pipii.co.uk beautiful? Almost too pretty to use, but I think they would make the most excellent wrapping for treats coming out of your kitchen for your neighbors, teachers, or babysitters.
More ideas for wrapping
* plain kraft paper can be the foundation of so many good wrapping ideas; stamp or draw on it, photocopy (in red) old christmas cards and place on top.
* pages out of an old dictionary or book
* fabric
* comics or newspaper pages
* music sheets
* use old or new postcards (as seen below and found here)
How do you wrap your gifts? Do you love or hate doing it?

Hey! It’s Deonna from the Child at Heart blog! Thank you so much for linking up at the Merriest Blog Hop! I can’t wait to see all of your holiday ideas this month! These are all great ideas. I love the kraft paper too! I am using that this year and have for the past few years. I always do something different but I like the basic look of the kraft paper so I can really busy ribbon, yarn, or whatever.

Hello there Deonna, Kraft paper keeps on giving and giving, doesn’t it. I think that’s why I love it so much. Thanks for stopping in for a visit. I love your “merriest blog hop” button by the way. 🙂
