Write a letter to Santa.
I knew it was going to be a magical afternoon when Penelope showed up with a draft of her letter to Santa. It wasn’t long after that the typewriters could be heard from the roof top of Recess, a paper goods shop in the Inglewood area of Calgary.
Lining up to use the typewriters
The afternoon was spent writing letters to Santa. The free event was open to all ages but mainly kids showed up. At one point there was even a line up to use a typewriter!
P.S.
I loved reading (after asking permission of course) some of the letters. Did you notice the “P.S” in this letter? A girl after my own heart.
Postage isn’t required when writing Santa
To ensure your letter reaches Santa make sure to use the address shown here. Although postage isn’t necessary how can you resist when these vintage Christmas stamps are so beautiful.
Santa will write you back
With the recent Canada Post strike now officially over, I would urge you to get your letters in the mail to Santa as soon as possible to ensure you here back from the jolly man in red.
Make sure you include your return address as it makes life easier for all the elves.
Dearest Santa…
After finishing her letter, Summer and I chatted over which stamps would look best on her envelop. A girl with those boots not only has style but knows what she likes.
Thanks to Penelope and Summer and all the other kids who stopped in today. It was so fun to meet you. I can’t wait to hear what Santa says when he writes you back.
Will you write a letter to Santa this year?
